“Daytime Divas” has been canceled after airing just one season on VH1, Variety has confirmed.

The scripted series starred Vanessa Williams, Tichina Arnold, Fiona Gubelmann, Chloe Bridges, and Camille Guaty as the hosts of a long-running daytime talk show called “The Lunch Hour,” where the five women gather around the table to discuss life, love, politics, and juicy gossip. But the drama behind the scenes could be even juicier. The series was inspired by the book “Satan’s Sisters… A Novel of Fiction” by Star Jones.

The series was developed for television by Amy Engelberg and Wendy Engelberg who also executived produce along with showrunners Chris Alberghini and Mike Chessler. Jones, Josh Berman, Suzanne de Passe, Madison Jones, and Susan Levison also executive produced. Suzanne Coston serves as co-executive producer. The series is a co-production with Sony Pictures Television.

The series was one of few scripted shows featured on the network, which has focused in recent years on unscripted programming like the popular “Love & Hip Hop” franchise, “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” and “Basketball Wives.”
