Judge Ann Nevins expressed dismay about the rapper’s flamboyant Instagram posts saying, “I am not trying to impede on anyone’s right to exercise free speech. But I would appreciate it, if we can keep the tone of this case very serious”, inferring that the “I Get Money” rapper is making light of the court case. Judge Nevins continues saying, “There is nothing funny going on here. This is all very serious business.” The lawyers who help with filing a chapter 7 bankruptcy referred to this case and said that chapter 7 proceedings are quicker than others and can last a few months.

The diamond selling rapper has made a flurry of Instagram posts showcasing expensive car purchases, large quantities of cash, jewelry, amongst other extravagant lifestyle accessories following his bankruptcy filing. A qualified chapter 7 bankruptcy attorney could easily use this evidence against his claim.  In 2015, Curtis received harsh criticisms from fans after spelling out the word “Broke” in cash.

“You have all been advised. This not funny”, Nevins reiterated. Curtis responded to the court’s recommendations saying, “Instagram? Nah that’s not me anymore.”
