Lil Jon moved beyond the entertainment realm with his latest project. The famed producer opened a primary school for children in Ghana which he’s been raising money for quite some time. Lil Jon teamed up with Pencils of Promise or PoP, to open up the school in the Asuogyaman district of eastern Ghana. PoP was launched in 2009 with the purpose of bringing quality education to children in need on a global scale. Since 2009, the organization has opened over 400 schools including the newest school with Lil Jon. It officially opened on Oct. 12 and Lil Jon took to Instagram to share the celebration with his followers. On Instagram, Jon captioned a series of photos and videos of the day:
Yesterday was a special day for me and my family. We had the ribbon cutting ceremony and dedication of a brand new primary school in Ghana I funded along with @pencilsofpromise I dedicated it to the Abomayaw community and to my mother. God is good.
