Over the last few days, protests have engulfed St.Louis as many are dissatisfied with the not guilty ruling handed by St. Louis Circuit Judge Timothy Wilson. Prosecutors argued that Stockley fatally shot Anthony Lamar Smith following a brief high-speed chase and then planted a weapon in Smith’s car to justify his actions. However, Stockley maintained that he shot Smith because he was in fear for his life- believing Smith was reaching for a
weapon.

On Saturday, Cannon was captured amongst other protestors dressed in a custom all black Colin Kaepernick jersey. Cannon, whom earlier this year made waves in the entertainment world after leaving NBC, has always focused on helping the community. However, the nod to Kaepernick follows Cannon’s support of the quarterback who knelt during the last NFL season to bring awareness to police brutality across the country. Rallying with fellow demonstrators, Cannon can be seen marching and raising his fist in solidarity while the crowd chanted “no justice, no profit.”
