“SWITCH SIDES” is some of the best of what Young Aardvark and Young Rich John can offer. A quiet and simple beat, provided by Young Rich John, really enhances the brilliant vocal work on the song. These two capitalize on the psychedelic hip hop sound dominating the main stream because of Travis Scott. With a powerful chorus and first verse, by Young Rich John, however, where the song takes a turn is where these two really shine, to end his verse, Young Rich John starts to whisper showing off his unique flow and charisma on the mic, and with a hard hitting bass this very easily transitions into Young Aardvark’s verse where he shows off a bit of his trademark cockiness while John shows a more personal side. “SWITCH SIDES” is a perfect example of how 2 kids from South Florida, with seemingly nothing in common, fit so perfectly together and hopefully continue to be blessing us with music for a long time.

Young Aardvark and Young Rich John exploded onto the Soundcloud rap scene back in September 2017 with their mega hit “RIP Adam West,” however after charting and dropping a couple singles that got some traction, they didn’t cement themselves as a presence until their debut album “the joint tape” in April of 2018. A wifisfuneral feature and a cosign from DJ Scheme helped this album gain some traction on streaming platforms. They quickly started releasing a barrage of music, 3 albums and an EP in the span of 9 months, with features from artists like Yung Bans and production from producers such as Wondagurl and Cashmoneyap. Their latest album titled “JT3” is their biggest project yet, garnishing hundreds of thousands of streams in only 2 months. With “SWITCH SIDES” the Young Rich John produced track showing off the charisma, chemistry, and star power that these two offered on “RIP Adam West.”
