Trick Daddy Confirms He’s Joining ‘Love & Hip Hop: Miami’
“Love & Hip Hop” creator Mona Scott-Young is staying quiet about rumors she’s adding a Miami location to the hit VH1 series, but rapper Trick Daddy recently confirmed that the show is definitely happening. He also revealed that he’s one of the cast members.
“I just met with Mona last week and we’re trying to do this right,” he told Bossip Sunday. “Put some real Miami b—-es and real Miami n—– on the show.”
While “Love & Hip Hop” has been known for its drama, the “Let’s Go” rapper said he has no intentions of embarrassing himself on the show. “One thing I won’t do is make a fool of myself,” he said. “If we gone make a fool of somebody it won’t be me, so it’ll be interesting.”
Instead, Trick Daddy teased that his storyline will focus on him managing two up-and-coming artists Mike Smiff and Premadonna. The rapper, 42, also said he starts filming for the new series at the end of April or the beginning of May.
“I’m really doing ‘Love & Hip Hop: Miami’ because there’s a difference between Old Cutler money and South Beach money,” he told the outlet. “Old Cutler money is grandfathered in, South Beach is investors.”
The Shade Room reported Monday that rapper Trina is also said to be joining the cast. Recently, Trina and Trick Daddy, who collaborated on the 1999 song “Nann,” performed a show together in Tallahassee, Florida.
TMZ previously reported that “Love & Hip Hop: Miami” producers wanted to finalize the cast by April so they could start filming. The show is said to premiere later this summer, along with a rumored Houston version of the franchise.
Currently, “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” Season 5 is airing.
