Brooklyn rapper and G.O.O.D. music’s newest kid on the block, Desiigner is definitely making a name for himself and getting people talking. Back in December, Desiigner dropped his breakout track “Panda,” which shot up the Billboard 100 chart, ultimately claiming the number one spot. However, Desiigner’s short-lived success has also been mired by plenty comparisons to Atlanta-based rapper, Future. Despite the controversy surrounding him, Desiigner has now released new single, “Moon People,” as a follow-up to his debut single.

Last week, Desiigner visited Tim Westwood in London and dropped a freestyle for his fans. Little did they know, the Brooklyn rapper was giving fans a tease of his newest single, “Moon People.” In the Macktasticv produced track featuring Boyd, Desiigner raps on the chorus, “Moon walking/ seeing moon people. Moon walking /seeing moon people.” Although Desiigner’s newest infectious track may or may not make it to the top of the Billboard, one thing we know for sure is that those Future comparisons won’t be going away anytime soon.

Back in March, Desiigner addressed Future comparisons with XXL saying, “I smile at that, I blush at that, but I have no hard feelings for the dude Future. He does his thing. Actually, I like some of his songs. I think he’s a great artist and I ain’t going to ever turn him down. Just know I have plenty of more music. That’s all I got to say for the people who say I sound like him. Keep tuning in.”
