Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” Trailer For HBO
Pucker up, Beyhive!! Beyoncé dropped a cryptic teaser Saturday for “Lemonade,” a “world premiere event” airing 9 p.m. next Saturday on HBO.
The 20-second clip, posted to the singer’s YouTube and social media accounts, has Beyoncé in tight braids and a brown fur coat ever so slowly lifting her head into view. The video dramatically cuts to black before she shows her face.
“What am I gonna do, love?” she breathes in a voiceover. The always mysterious singer’s announcement makes sense in light of an odd trio of captionless, lemon-related photos she posted Sept. 20: one of her happily sniffing a fresh lemon, another flashing a goblet of yellow drink, and a third showcasing a lemon-shaped candle holder.
Beyoncé superfan Twitter account The Beyhive also reported in February that the “Crazy in Love” singer was working on a so-called “album film” dubbed “Project Lemonade.”
Little is officially known about Bey’s next album other than her stylist Ty Hunter’s declaration during a recent “Watch What Happens Live” that it’s “beyond awesome.”
The pop star premiered her critically acclaimed, politically charged “Formation” without fanfare the Saturday before Super Bowl 50 and performed it the next day during halftime.
Right after the big game, she announced a “Formation” 40-date world tour — her first since co-headlining the 2014 “On the Run” tour with husband Jay Z — which kicks off April 27 in Miami.
