BLI – It’s A Beautiful Thing @BLIraps

I.A.B.T. features BLI’s single, “The Circle”. BLI recorded this in LA in Harvey Mason Jr’s studio while working with super production duo, The Wavys. For this particular track, no pen was needed. Upon hearing the bouncy bass forward up-tempo beat the song came right out of him. “The Circle” is best described as a bubbly party song that mixes the lyrical styles of Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, and Meek Mill. The Circle fits in nicely to a regular DJ rotation of up-tempo hip-hop club bangers with a catchy hook and emphatic bridge that possesses a message about the sincerity of a tight knit friend group.

BLI (pronounced “Blee”) is a multi-talented artist born Alex Jay Blihovde September 2nd, 1993 in Nashville Tenessee. Nashville for all its musical clout still has a gaping hole in its own urban musical identity. Whether he’s dropping punch lines, telling a story, or singing a melody BLI captures the attention of all that are listening and therefore cementing Nashville’s urban identity. “It’s A Beautiful Thing” A/K/A “I.A.B.T.” BLI’s freshman EP is coated with his unique sound founded by his dusty Tennessee flow, from childhood inspired by 50 Cent, Drake, J Cole, Ace Hood, Kendrick Lamar, Russ, and Logic.

BLI needs to place no emphasis on showcasing his layered lyrical ability as lyrics driven music with fresh melodies are his way of creating a real connection to his listeners based on strong imagery and feeling. I.A.B.T. features production from 6x Grammy Winner Malik Yusef one of Kanye’s all-time most trusted collaborators. Kevin Randolph a multi-platinum producer most recently noted for his work with global star Logic. I.A.B.T. also includes production support from EDM monster Rain Man formally founder of Krewella as well as The Wavys whom recently produced for the Pitch Perfect movie series. Last but not least his own brother, J.BLI.
