BLVD Ft Mizzo – Thirst Trap @BLVDBX

“Thirst Trap” is the second single to BLVD’s anticipated project, “Dreams Taking Off Pt.1”. He enlists the energetic vocals of YBM/The Family young protege Mizzo to address the cultural taboo topic of thirst trapping over a heavily gritty east coast influenced melody with commercial flavor. In the words of the song: “Don’t you ever get caught up in the Thirst Trap”.

The Bronx native of Dominican descent with the moniker “BLVD” was introduced to his love of music through the early sounds of Merengue during his first steps as a child. He owes this introduction to his mother for bringing this early gift to him that would later become his passion. That affirmation came in 2000, writing music and making that connection to the creative energy surrounding his thoughts. He had no idea this is where faith would lead him when sports was his true love. In 2002, it was until having a near-fatal car accident that took away a promising athletic scholarship to a division 1 school. It was then that life forced him on the path of what he would later grow to love with a passion, music. If you get involved in a vehicular accident, you should consult with a Milwaukee injury lawyer to help you file a claim. In 2004, he was afforded the opportunity to travel to the Dominican Republic as a featured artist for a national promo-tour for his first official studio recorded feature. He diligently performed on all of the country’s main channels and conducted radio interviews along with shooting a video at the posh Juan Dolio Resort. Quite an experience to Woo BLVD into making more music and to realize that at one point music was just a hobby. As he progressed, his confidence grew and he continued to work more on honing his craft. Being incomparable and a son of Hip Hop, he has placed no limits to his artistry with his songwriting in multiple genres and his fusion of two cultures.

He has had rewarding success beginning with the number one and two singles on rotation in Canada and Japan from the 2005 debut release of his Mixtape “The Answer” to an appearance on the “Univision Morning Show” with freestyle legend Aby formerly of TKA. He has extended his performance resume by taking the stage at the famed Club Speed in NYC for the likes of DJ Kay Slay and Green Lantern. Also broadening his following to the Middle East, by working alongside Lebanese artist Malikah. After the release of his first mixtape and continued projects BLVD went on a break and returned to the music scene in 2015 where he came back stronger than ever with the release of his second project titled “Im a Dummy in a Can: Say it 10x Fast” and his artistry and following continued to grow immensely as if he never left.

To date, he has released three mixtapes; “The Answer” “I’m a Dummy in a Can” and “Conquer or Die” which has continued to garner much respect and an increased audience with a delightful blend of Hip Hop and his witty, smooth, gritty New York delivery. He is determined to contribute to the legacy of music with his refreshing sound and foresight. Continue to follow him in his journey as he shares his experiences that are all creatively channeled through the music.
