Nick Cannon Joins Protesters in St. Louis

    September 18, 2017 /

Actor and comedian Nick Cannon joined protesters in St. Louis frustrated with the acquittal of former officer Jason Stockley who fatally shot a black man in 2011. Over the last few days, protests have engulfed St.Louis as many are dissatisfied with the not guilty ruling handed by St. Louis Circuit Judge Timothy Wilson. Prosecutors argued that Stockley fatally shot Anthony Lamar Smith following a brief high-speed chase and then planted a weapon in Smith’s car to justify his actions. However, Stockley maintained that he shot Smith because he was in fear for his life- believing Smith was reaching for a weapon. #nickcannon joins protestors in #stlouis A post shared by…

    October 13, 2016 /

Lights, camera, faction. Actress Gabrielle Union fired off a lawsuit against BET, claiming the network tried to short-change her by stuffing more episodes into a single season of her show “Being Mary Jane” than she agreed upon, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The 42-year-old star contends producers for the hit series vowed that seasons would never run more than 13 episodes, but they’re now trying to jam 20 shows into Season 4. Union is slated for a raise from $150,000 per episode to $165,000 in Season 5 and believes the network is attempting to “fraudulently extend” the terms of her contract, according to the lawsuit. The contract she signed, however,…
