Blacc Youngsta Arrested in Connection to Young Dolph Shooting
Memphis rapper Blac Youngsta on Tuesday was arrested on felony weapons charges in connection to the Young Dolph shooting in Charlotte during CIAA Weekend. Young Dolph, who was present for the festivities, was on his way to a show when his SUV was lit up with more than 100 rounds of ammunition. Earlier today [May 16th] Youngsta turned himself into police custody in connection with the shooting, although it is not clear to what extent he was involved. Kevin Gates Sentenced to 30 Months
Kevin Jerome Gilyard, 31, known by his stage name of Kevin Gates, of Baton Rouge, La., pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm in connection with a 2013 arrest, according to court records. Police records show Gilyard originally was arrested on an unlawful possession of a handgun charge about 8:10 p.m. Oct. 29, 2013, in the 7200 block of South Stony Island Avenue. Bridgeview Branch Court Judge Neil Linehan gave Gilyard credit for 34 days already spent in jail in the case, according to court records. Charlie Murphy Dies At 57
Charlie Murphy, the beloved comedian, writer and older brother of Eddie Murphy, has died after a battle with leukemia. He was 57. The funnyman passed away Wednesday morning at a New York City hospital, TMZ reported, citing his manager. He had been undergoing chemotherapy treatment. Murphy earned a tremendous fan base as a writer for “Chappelle’s Show,” on which he frequently appeared in sketches alongside star Dave Chappelle. Chief Keef Arrested in Miami
People are getting a kick out of the mug shot taken of Chief Keef, following his arrest in Miami Beach on Saturday [April 8], and it is making its way around social media like wildfire. Keef was taken into custody and charged with felony DUI for failing a sobriety test.
