Snoop Dogg is rebooting his record label. DoggyStyle Records has officially re-opened its doors and already has a marquee artist on its roster. The company, which started in 1995, came to fruition after Snoop’s success on his 1993 album, DoggyStyle. It has been 20 years since the label produced music but this year Snoop is planning to change that. Atlanta rapper Clay James is DoggyStyle Record’s newest signee and is breaking out with full force. Soulja Boy previously made a major claim about signing a deal amounting to $400 million. Other than Soulja revealing that information, there was no other confirmation of a deal between the two parties. However, Soulja Boy took to Instagram to post a photo with him and Greek billionaire Alki David, who is the CEO of FilmOn, a company specializing in Internet-based streaming that gives users access to movies and TV shows. The late Whitney Houston will reportedly appear on the NBC singing competition in holographic form, reports Entertainment Tonight. Colorado Prisoner Files Prince Paternity Claim
The Prince paternity controversies have begun — with a prisoner in Colorado filing the first claim following the music legend’s death. Carlin Q. Williams, who is behind bars at a “supermax” prison for firearm possession, filed a paternity claim Monday stating he is Prince’s “sole surviving legal heir,” according to court records. The claim requests a DNA test to prove Williams is the son of the Purple One. According to the claim, William’s mother Marsha Henson said she met Prince in the Crown Center Hotel lobby in Kansas City, Mo. in July 1976.
