In the past, many have criticized Michael Jordan for staying silent during trying times that affect people who mostly purchase his products. However, Michael Jordan is putting his money where the critic’s mouths are, as he reportedly donated seven million dollars to clinics in at-risk communities located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Actor and comedian Nick Cannon joined protesters in St. Louis frustrated with the acquittal of former officer Jason Stockley who fatally shot a black man in 2011. Solange Knowles has announced a new show to benefit Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. The Houston native announced on Instagram that the concert, titled “Orion’s Rise,” will take place in Boston’s Orpheum Theater on Sept. 28.
