Born in Harlem and raised in Brooklyn, Cherokee knew from a very early age that music was a part of every fiber of her being. With a natural affinity for creating and playing music, she began writing poetry and implementing melodies at the early age of 12. By the age of 14, aided by a very patient mother who allowed the kids to play loud music in the house – Cherokee had formed her first band, which played a lot of R&B and soul music. When urfav isn’t making music, he directs, films and edits his own music videos. His new single, “ghosted”, is about how life is extremely short, but in the end you have to do what makes you the happiest. urfav expresses signs of hopelessness while concluding that no matter what, you have to do your own thing and find your own path.
