Toyz Electronics create Toyz Steam workshop at Carnegie Mellon University
Toyz Electronics, LLC, a Carnegie Mellon University Startup, conducted a #Toyzsteam workshop at the Swartz Center for Entrepreneurship. The workshop was conducted like a hackathon and featured hip-hop comic book character Da Great Deity Dah. The gifted high school students from the SAMS program participated during their time on campus. Students were exposed to; storytelling, character creation, VR, wearable technology, , 3D design and modeling, audio recording, animation and game design. The workshop was conducted by Carnegie Mellon Alum Wole Idowu (CTO), Quincy Taylor (CMO) and Damola Idowu (CEO). This workshop is also in partnership with Owners Illustrated Magazine. Reebok and Cardi B Announce Partnership
Reebok and Cardi B have announced a partnership and a sneaker collaboration. A representative from Reebok issued a statement on teaming up with Cardi, saying “Everything that you love about Cardi is what you love about Reebok. Reebok has a longstanding legacy of nonconformity, whether it’s creating the first workout shoe exclusively for women or putting bold-faced expletives and fresh-faced hip-hop stars in its big ad campaigns in the early ‘00s.” There is no word on when her collaboration with Reebok will drop, but stay tuned. GUHH’s Angela Simmons’ Ex-Fiancé Killed
Angela Simmons’ ex-fiancé, Sutton Tennyson, was shot and killed following an argument in his driveway, according to TMZ. Atlanta PD told the website that Tennyson was talking to someone in his driveway around 5 pm ET and the conversation escalated. From there, he was fatally shot multiple times in his garage and the suspect fled in a car. No arrests have been made in the incident and an investigation is underway. SOURCE

Michael Kors has bought Versace for $2.12 billion, which was confirmed on Tuesday (September 25) amid speculation. Donatella Versace, who ran the luxury fashion brand with her brother Santo and her daughter Allegra, released a statement about the deal, which read, “It has been more than 20 years since I took over the company along with my brother Santo and daughter Allegra. Jermaine Dupri Kicks Off So So Def Exhibit at the Grammy Museum
In 1993, producer Jermaine Dupri launched his So So Def record label to showcase southern hip-hop artists. In the quarter-century since then, the imprint has worked with a slew of big-name artists from the ’90s and 2000s, including Jagged Edge, Daz Dillinger, Da Brat, Bow Wow, Kriss Kross, and Anthony Hamilton. In celebration of the record label’s achievements and cultural influence, the Grammy Museum has launched a four-month exhibit dedicated entirely to So So Def.
