Colin Kaepernick has inked a book deal worth just over $1 million with Random House imprint One World, according to Page Six. One World is headed by book world superstar Chris Jackson who launched it last year. He also publishes JAY-Z and Ta-Nehisi Coates. During a 20-minute press conference held to debrief what progress came of the meeting he hosted between NFL players and owners this week, league commissioner Roger Goodell shared that no changes will be made to the game’s operations manual. Three former black Tesla employees claim they experienced racial discrimination by company supervisors and fellow employees. According to a lawsuit filed Tuesday, October 17, Owen Diaz and his son, Demetric (pictured above), along with Lamar Patterson, claim they faced racial remarks and racist graffiti drawings throughout their tenures in Tesla’s Fremont factory. Actor and comedian Nick Cannon joined protesters in St. Louis frustrated with the acquittal of former officer Jason Stockley who fatally shot a black man in 2011. Over the last few days, protests have engulfed St.Louis as many are dissatisfied with the not guilty ruling handed by St. Louis Circuit Judge Timothy Wilson. Solange Knowles has announced a new show to benefit Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. The Houston native announced on Instagram that the concert, titled “Orion’s Rise,” will take place in Boston’s Orpheum Theater on Sept. 28.
