Fresh Kid Ice of 2 Live Crew Dead at 53
Fresh Kid Ice, a founding member of influential hip hop group 2 Live Crew, has died in Miami, according to TMZ. Fresh Kid Ice, along with DJ Mr. Mixx, Amazing Vee, and Brother Marquis, represented an early incarnation of 2 Live Crew. The trio later linked with Luther Campbell when he signed them to his record label. According to 2 Live Crew’s manager, Fresh Kid, born Chris Wong Won, died at 7:50 AM Thursday in a Miami hospital due to an unspecified medical condition. He was 53. SOURCE: VLADTV

Ice Cube Gets a Star on Walk of Fame
Rapper, actor, and movie producer Ice Cube received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday (June 12) in front of the Musicians Institute on Hollywood Boulevard. Cube was joined by N.W.A. members Dr. Dre, DJ Yella, and MC Ren, who posted a photo on his Twitter with the caption, “Congratulations to @icecube getting his star in Hollywood. Today was a good day.” Ice Cube, whose real name is O’Shea Jackson, first appeared on the scene with the West Coast rap group N.W.A. in the late 1980s. NBA Warriors Unanimously Vote to Skip White House Visit
Per reports, less than 24 hours after becoming the 2017 NBA Finals champions, the Warriors have decided to decline the White House visit. With President Trump in office, there have been many conversations about if athletes should take political stands by choosing to refuse traditional championship White House visits. Chicago Bulls Matched $1M Donation to Schools
When Chance the Rapper made a call-to-arms to every major company in Chicago and across the United States, someone finally answered the call of duty. Today, rapper Kevin Gates completed his sentence for kicking a woman at a concert in 2015 and was scheduled to be released from jail. After spending the first seven years of his career with the New York Giants, wide receiver Victor Cruz has been released. Cruz had a breakout season in 2011, where he caught 82 passes for 1,536 yards, and greatly contributed to the Giants’ Super Bowl XLVI win over the New England Patriots.
