Derek Fisher “I Wasn’t Fired Over Matt Barnes Incident”

    March 11, 2016 /

A month after being fired as the head coach for the New York Knicks, Derek Fisher cleared the air and addressed rumors related to the firing in an essay for Sports Illustrated’s “The Cauldron.” While media outlets claimed that Fisher was fired as a result of his altercation with former Lakers teammate Matt Barnes, Fisher claims that his personal life had nothing to do with him leaving the Knicks. “At no time did anyone at that meeting express to me that stories about my personal life were distracting from the collective task at hand, or – more important – that any of my players had expressed to management that they…

D’Angelo Russell Shot to the Groin by LeBron James

    February 13, 2016 /

Note to Los Angeles Lakers D’Angelo Russell: Always keep your eye on the ball(s) – especially when it comes to your own. Towards the end of last night’s game versus the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron James attempted to pass the ball to a teammate but was intercepted by the rookie’s nether region – needless to say Russell had to take a moment to regain himself. Fortunately he was able to laugh it off about an hour later. “I’m all right. It was unexpected,” he stated. “I know if I expected it, it would’ve hurt more than it did. It was tough. Every guy knows the feeling.” Russell then advised people to…

Buffalo Bills’ LeSean McCoy Under Investigation

    February 10, 2016 /

Early Sunday morning four current and former NFL players were allegedly involved in a fight that left two of three off-duty police officers hospitalized. Sources say LeSean McCoy, 27, Christopher Henderson, 26, Curtis Brinkley, 30, and Tamarcus Porter, 27, were inside the Recess Lounge in Philadelphia around 2:45 a.m. when they assaulted the cops over champagne. Officer Roland Butler was joined by Sgt. Daniel Ayres and Officer Darnell Jessie when Porter supposedly “tried to claim one” of their four bottles. The police report states the NFL players immediately “punched, kicked and stomped” Butler until all of the men involved were forced to leave the venue. Officer Jessie was given eight stitches over his eye…

Denver Broncos practice squad safety Ryan Murphy will be missing out on an opportunity to play in the Super Bowl after being questioned in a prostitution ring scandal on Tuesday (Feb. 2). Police staked out an area in San Jose that is known for prostitution, and they apprehended a suspected prostitute who said she was going to her car to pick up some personal property.
