HBO Will Submit Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’ for Emmy Consideration

Like many people, we still haven’t recovered from Lemonade. Ever since h HBO special debuted on Saturday, the visual album is all anyone can talk about and now there’s more info to add to the discussion because HBO plans to submit the special for Emmy consideration.

Variety reports that HBO is working out the details, but Kahlil Joseph and Beyoncé will be credited as directors while the premium cable network tries to iron out whether Melina Matsoukas, Todd Tourso, Dikayl Rimmasch, Jonas Akerlund and Mark Romanek can be added as “additional directors.”

Beyoncé previously received Emmy nominations for her On The Run Tour concert special with Jay Z and Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show. Lemonade has been praised by critics, so it seems that it could be a shoo-in for an Emmy nomination. Fingers-crossed that the queen can add this jewel to her crown.

In January of 2013 she began with DJ Shalamar and became a part of Team Fuego and now handles most of Southern Fuego’s social media & promotions. Attending sometimes dozens of events a month Mz. On Point quickly made a name for her brand throughout Central Florida. Being sure to attend key networking events, and conferences to not only network but more importantly to expand her knowledge of the industry and perfect the services she offers. January 2014 Mz On Point had the privilege of becoming apart of the infamous and world renowned DJ coalition, Team Bigga Rankin & the Cool Running DJs. May 2015 Mz On Point was honored to learn that she had been chosen to receive the Hard Hitta Award at the the 7th Annual SCM Awards which took place in Memphis, Tennessee. While she wasn't able to make the trip to accept the award one of her mentors Bigga Rankin accepted it on her behalf.
