Ludacris and Ciara To Host 2016 Billboard Music Awards

Ludacris will once again be hosting the annual Billboard Music Awards. The Atlanta rapper’s co-host will be baby mama to Future, fiancee to the NFL’s Russell Wilson and noted entertainer and fashion influencer in her own right, Ciara.

Dick Clark Productions and ABC made the announcement today (April 8), and the award show goes down Sunday, May 22 at the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. While Ciara will be a new jack, this is Luda’s third year hosting the show.

“It is my honor to host the Billboard Music Awards for the 3rd year and a pleasure to host with my good friend Ciara,” said Ludacris via a press statement. “I’m looking forward to another great show in a new and exciting venue.”
Added Ciara, “The Billboard Music Awards is one of best award shows to honor chart success. My great friend Ludacris and I have also shared songs together on the Billboard chart. I look forward to sharing the stage with him on this special night. It will definitely be a night to remember!”

The 2016 Billboard Music Awards finalists will be announced live this Monday, April 11 on ABC’s Good Morning America with Ludacris and Ciara revealing six categories. Five more categories will be announce following the broadcast, live via Billboard Music Award’s Facebook and Periscope.

The final nominees are based on album and digital songs sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social engagement (between March 23, 2015 through March 17, 2016), which are all tracked by Billboard.

In a few short year she has had the privilege of working with some very influential people within the industry. In January of 2013 she began with DJ Shalamar and became a part of Team Fuego and now handles most of Southern Fuego’s social media & promotions. Attending sometimes dozens of events a month Mz. On Point quickly made a name for her brand throughout Central Florida. Being sure to attend key networking events, and conferences to not only network but more importantly to expand her knowledge of the industry and perfect the services she offers. January 2014 Mz On Point had the privilege of becoming apart of the infamous and world renowned DJ coalition, Team Bigga Rankin & the Cool Running DJs. May 2015 Mz On Point was honored to learn that she had been chosen to receive the Hard Hitta Award at the the 7th Annual SCM Awards which took place in Memphis, Tennessee. While she wasn't able to make the trip to accept the award one of her mentors Bigga Rankin accepted it on her behalf.
