Marco Ciro Pastore, known by his stage name Maxx Paradox or MP, is a twenty-year-old upcoming rapper and music producer from Yonkers, New York. Born to a teacher mother and an engineer father, Marco has always had a blue-collar work ethic. His exposure to music began when his father, a gigging musician himself, would play records of classic songwriters such as Billy Joel. As MP grew older he started to fall in love with hip-hop, secretly writing lyrics and entire songs in private. He made the leap to being a full-blown musician his first year of college when a friend with Logic Pro X on his laptop helped him record his first released song: Fool. Although he says this song is one of his least favorite recorded songs, it was at this point that he knew he had to pursue a career in music.
In just two short years MP has proven that this was the right decision. He has since released his debut tape in June of 2018, each track garnering thousands of plays on Soundcloud. Most notable of these is Rosé, which has surpassed 20K streams. He has made a name for himself as a legitimate touring artist as well, opening for Juice WRLD at District N9NE in Philadelphia in November of 2018.
The name Maxx Paradox, is a way for Marco to stay true to himself, but also to show others he’s not just any other artist, “I had been a walking paradox all my life. I’m humble but proud, kind-hearted but not afraid to get in your face, sometimes I’m an introvert sometimes I’m an extrovert.” Whatever way Maxx is feeling he is bringing the heat, look out for him as he continues to make a name for himself in the coming years, starting with his debut album summer 2019 hosted by DJ Diddy.
