The seven track collection is the first ‘gangsta rap’ album that does not contain explicit language. “I wanted to do something different and create a project that my mother, nieces, and nephews can listen to,” James details.

James has an extensive history with both music and the content he raps about. He’s from the north side community of Acre Homes, one of the most notorious neighborhoods in Houston, Texas. As an ex drug dealer and reformed gang member, James’ music comes from a place of honesty and authenticity.

Previously, James has worked with platinum artists such as Slim Thug and Paul Wall and platinum producers such as Cory Mo. He was featured on the multi-platinum artist Devin The Dude’s album ‘One for the Road’ on a song entitled ‘Rearview.’ This wasn’t James’ only collaborative effort, however, since he’s featured on Kool Keith’s latest album and mixtapes with the likes of G Unit, DJ Whoo Kid, Missy Elliot, and a whole slew of other performers.

‘And I Mean This Vol. 2’ has been released independently as James is unsigned. The release is available globally on every digital platform. Thus, fans can check out the new album on retailers such as Amazon and iTunes and streaming services such as Spotify and Tidal.
