Keenan Clarke – Too Late @PalmTreesAndKee
Keenan Clarke’s “Too Late” is a song about love, heartbreak and walking away. The instrumental itself is quite lo-fi, like most of Keenan Clarke’s works, and this creates a dimly lit, warm mood, like sitting in front of the fire with candles and your partner on a cold winter night. The skeleton for the instrumental was composed in around 3 hours. However, the fine-tuning of the instrumental took much longer, approximately 3 weeks. Choosing the instrument for the riff that transitions the hook into the verse, almost stopped this song from ever being released because Keenan couldn’t work out what sound to use. Then while walking his dog, a Japanese…

[Video] 97BabyJay – Grateful @97babyJay1
After months of pushing the audio single, 21 year old rising Detroit artist 97BabyJay releases visuals to his hit song, “Grateful”. The video match the song’s meaningful message about being grateful to be alive. The song itself sends a dope message that needs to be talked about, especially with the high spike in rapper’s deaths over the last few months of 2018. Overall, this is a very dope song that’s not afraid to show the passion it was made with, and deserves to be treated as such. Representing the Westside of Detroit, 97BabyJay is a breath of fresh air. Bringing dope bars and messages while telling street stories, Jay knows…

Leps – No Talkin’ @Leps604
“No Talkin'” by Leps is a hard hitting banger, with production by Filthy Pino and Engineering by 2TrackENT, this song is a 100% Vancouver based song. The catchy hook will surely draw you in, but you will stay for the aggressive bars in both of the verses. Vancouver’s own Leps is a high-energy, charismatic artist who’s hard hitting lyrics and hype style tracks has his fans playing them full volume in every corner of his city. While not having an easy beginning, and being an independent kid since the playground, at 18 years old, and only rapping for less than 2 years, he is sure to turn heads in the…
