Petey Pablo on ‘Empire’
So I’m sure many of you like myself was a little shocked to Petey Pablo on “Empire, especially since there wasn’t much talk about it like many other stars.
Hip-hop fans may have noticed Petey Pablo on season two of “Empire,” playing Clyde, a role he says Terrence Howard got him as payback for a $200 debt dating back to 2005.
The “Freek-A-Leek” emcee explained the situation during an interview with Raleigh’s WRAL, telling them that Howard forgot his wallet for the Hustle & Flow premiere, so Petey said he loaned the actor $200. Fast forward ten years and Terrence Howard decided to pay back Petey with some serious interest by casting him on the hit FOX show. The WRAL anchor revealed that Pablo received a payback from Howard “to the tune of $15,000.”
Aside from his cameo, Petey Pablo also wrote four songs for the “Empire” season two soundtrack, including “Snitch B***,” which he performed with Terrence Howard on the latest episode of the show.
