USHER AS SUGAR RAY LEONARD
Usher is a man of many talents and he’s taking a stab at playing boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard in upcoming film Hands Of Stone. The film follows the life of Panamanian fighter Roberto Duran (played by Edgar Ramirez) from 1968 when he began fighting at 16 to his retirement at age 50 in 2002. The film’s synopsis reads: In June 1980, he defeated Sugar Ray Leonard (Usher Raymond) to capture the WBC welterweight title, but shocked the boxing world by returning to his corner in their November rematch, famously saying the words “no mas” (no more.) From Get Rich Or Die Trying to the Starz show, Power, 50 Cent has been actively involved in the world acting, movie and television for years. Now the Jamaica Queens bred rapper is reportedly in talks to be part of a new movie in thePredator series. In an interview with 99 Jamz, South Florida’s TRU home for Hip-Hop and R&B, 50 Cent revealed that he may have a role in the upcoming film “You heard of the movie Predator? Big Daddy Kane Returns to Acting
Since 1993 Big Daddy Kane has shown us another side of him with his impressive acting chops. The Bedford-Stuyvesant legend has appeared in a handful of films since then, including 2011’s Dave Chappelle’s Block Party, where he played himself. Today we’ve received word the hip-hop heavyweight will appear on the big screen once again, this time alongside a number of award-winning actors and actresses.
