Judge Orders Birdman to Show Cash Money Receipts in Lil Wayne Lawsuit
Lil Wayne was granted a breakthrough in his legal battle over unpaid royalties this week. A judge has ordered Birdman to open up his books to provide a record of what a $100 million advance Cash Money received from Universal Music Group, has gone towards. Disputed in the case is $70 million of those $100 million dollars, which Wayne was supposed to get a split of for marketing and recording expenses, in addition to the royalties he claims to have never received. Lil Wayne’s legal team recently demanded a more comprehensive money trial, after his attorneys dismissed the 22,015 pages of legal documents provided by Birdman’s accountant as useless. Lawyers…

We all know Cash Money CEO Birdman is no stranger to lawsuits or paying them in that matter. Well today he got hit hard by some writers in the tune of a few million dollars. Lil Wayne & Cash Money sampled some tracks for their song “You” and “Certified” and well apparently Birdman doesn’t want to pay up. Earlier this week, Bryan “Birdman” Williams shot the video for his new song “Respek”. Hot Boy Turk appeared on the set, where it looks like some sort of uncomfortable conversation took place. Birdman & Slim Developing Biopic
Cash Money Records co-founders and brothers Bryan “Baby” Williams and Ronald “Slim” Williams are currently developing a script for a biopic about the history of the New Orleans based label. The duo announced their recent undertaking during a speaking engagement at Brooklyn Law School. Baby expressed his enthusiasm about the project saying, “I’m excited about the script.
