Mac Miller Dead at 26
According to TMZ, Mac Miller, 26, died of an apparent overdose. This comes just a few months after Miller wrapped his Mercedes SUV around a tree in a DUI hit and run situation. Police say Miller blew two times the legal limit and confessed to the situation when they arrived to his home. While details surrounding Miller’s death are unclear, he had been seemingly struggling with substance abuse issues recently. Following his car crash, his then-longterm girlfriend Ariana Grande tweeted “Pls take care of yourself,” which many took as a concerned message to Miller. SOURCE

Burt Reynolds Passed Away at 82
Famed actor Burt Reynolds died on Thursday (September 6) morning after reportedly having a heart attack in a Florida hospital. The 82-year-old was surrounded by family after being rushed to the hospital after going into cardiac arrest. Reynolds was best known for his roles in Smokey and the Bandit, Boogie Nights and Cannonball Run. He also won a Golden Globe for his role as porn director Jack Horner in Boogie Nights in 1997 and was also nominated for an Oscar for the same role that year. Reynolds is survived by his son. SOURCE

Tesla Slammed With Racial Discrimination Allegations
Three former black Tesla employees claim they experienced racial discrimination by company supervisors and fellow employees. According to a lawsuit filed Tuesday, October 17, Owen Diaz and his son, Demetric (pictured above), along with Lamar Patterson, claim they faced racial remarks and racist graffiti drawings throughout their tenures in Tesla’s Fremont factory. According to NBC Bay Area, the former workers claim they were called the n-word multiple times, by both coworkers and their superiors. Owen Diaz claimed he found a “pickaninny” cartoon with the caption “Boo!” drawn on a piece of cardboard. Hugh Hefner Passes Away at 91
Iconic Playboy founder Hugh Hefner has passed away at the age of 91. A statement from Playboy Enterprises revealed that Hefner died of natural causes. Hefner’s son Cooper, who is Playboy Enterprises’ chief creative officer, released a statement reading, “My father lived an exceptional and impactful life as a media and cultural pioneer and a leading voice behind some of the most significant social and cultural movements of our time in advocating free speech, civil rights and sexual freedom. Trae Tha Truth is a hero. Los Angeles to Host 2028 Summer Olympics
It was announced on Monday, July 31, that Los Angeles will be hosting the 2028 Olympic Summer Games. The West Coast city had been in a bidding war with Paris over who would host the 2028 games, and it was decided that France will host in 2024. Tupac Inducted Into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Tupac Shakur will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017, along with Pearl Jam, Joan Baez, Electric Light Orchestra, Journey, and Yes. The induction ceremony will be held on April 7th, 2017, at Brooklyn‘s Barclays Center. Tupac Shakur will be the sixth hip-hop act to join the ranks of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Kevin Gates Sentenced 180 Days in Jail
A jury of six women took less than two hours to find a rapper guilty on Wednesday of kicking a woman during a performance at a Lakeland, Fl club in 2015. County Judge Sharon Franklin sentenced Kevin Gates to 180 days in jail, three times more than what prosecutors requested for the misdemeanor battery conviction.
