According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony is currently working on an Ol’ Dirty Bastard biopic with RZA leading the production of the project. Ty Dolla $ign has been arrested by Atlanta police following a traffic stop. Cops pulled over Ty’s limo and asked him and his crew to hop out. Upon searching the vehicle, police found a large amount of weed. Trailer for Netflix Documentary ‘Quincy’
Netflix is set to release the Rashida Jones directed Qunicy Jones documentary aptly titled, Quincy, on September 21. The official trailer of the documentary has been released featuring some of the biggest names in entertainment like WIll Smith, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, and Paul McCartney speaking to Quincy’s genius. Political dignitaries like Barack Obama and Nelson Mandela are also shown in the film sharing moments with Quincy. However, the trailer didn’t include Jones’ groundbreaking work with Michael Jackson. Mac Miller Dead at 26
According to TMZ, Mac Miller, 26, died of an apparent overdose. This comes just a few months after Miller wrapped his Mercedes SUV around a tree in a DUI hit and run situation. Police say Miller blew two times the legal limit and confessed to the situation when they arrived to his home. While details surrounding Miller’s death are unclear, he had been seemingly struggling with substance abuse issues recently. Burt Reynolds Passed Away at 82
Famed actor Burt Reynolds died on Thursday (September 6) morning after reportedly having a heart attack in a Florida hospital. The 82-year-old was surrounded by family after being rushed to the hospital after going into cardiac arrest. Reynolds was best known for his roles in Smokey and the Bandit, Boogie Nights and Cannonball Run. Young Thug Hit With Eight Felony Charges
Young Thug was arrested in 2017 after being pulled over for his window tint, and upon searching his vehicle, officers found drugs. Today, it was revealed that the Atlanta rapper is being hit with 8 felony charges in the arrest. TMZ reports that Young Thug has been charged with possession and intent to distribute meth, marijuana, and Hydrocodone. He also got additional charges for amphetamine, Alprazolam, and codeine possession and a firearm-related charge.
