Young Thug was arrested at Lenox Square Mall in Atlanta, Ga. on Thursday (Dec. 22). The JEFFREY creator was taken into custody for missing a court date. According to TMZ, officers were responding to a stolen vehicle report and were looking for a suspect in the mall. During their search for the suspect, one of the cops recognized Thugger walking through the mall and remembered he’d recently skipped a court date for excessive window tinting. Tupac Inducted Into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Tupac Shakur will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017, along with Pearl Jam, Joan Baez, Electric Light Orchestra, Journey, and Yes. The induction ceremony will be held on April 7th, 2017, at Brooklyn‘s Barclays Center. Tupac Shakur will be the sixth hip-hop act to join the ranks of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Beyonce Sued for Using Roc-A-Fella Logo
Beyoncé was hit with another lawsuit, this time for her use of the Roc-A-Fella logo. Dwayne Walker, the creator of the logo, says Bey never asked for his permission to use it in the 2013 music video for her hit song “Drunk in Love.” Walker claims the logo is prominently displayed in the video and he wants her to take it down or pay him for its use, according to TMZ. The logo, however, only appears briefly in the video, and it’s via Jay Z. Camila Cabello has left Fifth Harmony, the group announced in a note on Twitter late Sunday night. Though 5H did not cite a reason for her departure, they wrote, “After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representative, that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony. Kevin Gates Sentenced 180 Days in Jail
A jury of six women took less than two hours to find a rapper guilty on Wednesday of kicking a woman during a performance at a Lakeland, Fl club in 2015. County Judge Sharon Franklin sentenced Kevin Gates to 180 days in jail, three times more than what prosecutors requested for the misdemeanor battery conviction. The sentence came after Gates’ lawyer, Jose Baez of Orlando, requested that Franklin refrain from sentencing Gates to any jail time and instead “fashion a sentence.” “Mr. Gates has been involved in the Make a Wish Foundation,” Baez said. “That would assist the community much more than a 60-day jail sentence.” Franklin asked whether Gates,…

Brooklynite, Bobby Shmurda, was sentenced to 7 years in prison Wednesday [October 19]. The “Hot N****” rapper went from an internet sensation to a felon after pleading guilty to conspiracy and criminal possession of a weapon charge in September. According to the FADER, his attorney, Alex Spiro said “his sentence of 7 years, with credit for 2 years already served and good time credit will hopefully permit him to be home in approximately 3 1⁄2 years and resume his remarkable career.
