Fresh Kid Ice of 2 Live Crew Dead at 53
Fresh Kid Ice, a founding member of influential hip hop group 2 Live Crew, has died in Miami, according to TMZ. Fresh Kid Ice, along with DJ Mr. Mixx, Amazing Vee, and Brother Marquis, represented an early incarnation of 2 Live Crew. The trio later linked with Luther Campbell when he signed them to his record label. The Marin County Sheriff’s office reported on Tuesday morning (May 3) that Afeni Shakur Davis, the mother of late rapper Tupac Shakur, died on Monday night at age 69. Prince Dies at 57 at Paisley Park
The hugely popular and acclaimed musician Prince has died at his home in Minnesota at the age of 57, his publicist has said. Police were called to a medical emergency at his Paisley Park estate earlier on Thursday, US media reported. An investigation is underway. Former New Orleans Saints defensive end Will Smith was shot and killed late Saturday in New Orleans, according to the Times-Picayune. He was 34. New Orleans police said Smith and his wife were the victims of a double shooting about 11:29 p.m. Saturday in the city’s Lower Garden District, the Times-Picayune reports. Former UFC champion Kevin Randleman passed away on Thursday (Feb. 11) after suffering with a bout of pneumonia. According to several reports, the 44-year-old died of heart failure after being admitted to a San Diego hospital earlier in the day.
