Fresh Kid Ice of 2 Live Crew Dead at 53
Fresh Kid Ice, a founding member of influential hip hop group 2 Live Crew, has died in Miami, according to TMZ. Fresh Kid Ice, along with DJ Mr. Mixx, Amazing Vee, and Brother Marquis, represented an early incarnation of 2 Live Crew. The trio later linked with Luther Campbell when he signed them to his record label. The Marin County Sheriff’s office reported on Tuesday morning (May 3) that Afeni Shakur Davis, the mother of late rapper Tupac Shakur, died on Monday night at age 69. The hugely popular and acclaimed musician Prince has died at his home in Minnesota at the age of 57, his publicist has said. Former New Orleans Saints defensive end Will Smith was shot and killed late Saturday in New Orleans, according to the Times-Picayune. He was 34.
