Burt Reynolds Passed Away at 82
Famed actor Burt Reynolds died on Thursday (September 6) morning after reportedly having a heart attack in a Florida hospital. The 82-year-old was surrounded by family after being rushed to the hospital after going into cardiac arrest. Reynolds was best known for his roles in Smokey and the Bandit, Boogie Nights and Cannonball Run. He also won a Golden Globe for his role as porn director Jack Horner in Boogie Nights in 1997 and was also nominated for an Oscar for the same role that year. Reynolds is survived by his son. SOURCE

Iconic Playboy founder Hugh Hefner has passed away at the age of 91. A statement from Playboy Enterprises revealed that Hefner died of natural causes. Fresh Kid Ice of 2 Live Crew Dead at 53
Fresh Kid Ice, a founding member of influential hip hop group 2 Live Crew, has died in Miami, according to TMZ. Fresh Kid Ice, along with DJ Mr. Mixx, Amazing Vee, and Brother Marquis, represented an early incarnation of 2 Live Crew. The trio later linked with Luther Campbell when he signed them to his record label. Charlie Murphy Dies At 57
Charlie Murphy, the beloved comedian, writer and older brother of Eddie Murphy, has died after a battle with leukemia. He was 57. The funnyman passed away Wednesday morning at a New York City hospital, TMZ reported, citing his manager. He had been undergoing chemotherapy treatment. Murphy earned a tremendous fan base as a writer for “Chappelle’s Show,” on which he frequently appeared in sketches alongside star Dave Chappelle. Actor & Comedian Ricky Harris Dead at 54
Actor and comedian Ricky Harris, who played the character “Gangsta” in John Singleton‘s “Poetic Justice” passed away at the age of 54. While the aforementioned film brought Ricky to the big screen, he also had roles in “Bones,” “Everybody Hates Chris,” “Heat,” “Q,” and “Hard Rain.” Snoop Dogg fans will also remember Harris as the iconic voice-character “DJ Eaz-E-Dicc” on the California rapper’s albums. José Fernández, an extremely talented baseball player for the Miami Marlins, has died in a boating accident. Fernández career includes, making an All-Star game in both 2013 and 2016, and winning the 2013 Rookie of the Year award. With barely two months into 2016, the music industry has already seen a bevy of powerful losses. Maurice White, founding member of Earth, Wind & Fire passed away in his sleep today at age 74. The Memphis native was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in the late ‘80s, forcing him off the stage by 1994. He founded Earth, Wind & Fire in 1969, and is the older brother of fellow member Verdine White.
