The Falcons released a remixed version Wednesday of the 2001 hit “Welcome To Atlanta” by Grammy award winning Atlanta rappers Jermaine Dupri and Ludacris. Colin Kaepernick has inked a book deal worth just over $1 million with Random House imprint One World, according to Page Six. One World is headed by book world superstar Chris Jackson who launched it last year. He also publishes JAY-Z and Ta-Nehisi Coates. It was previously reported that Kaepernick was seen “taking meetings with publishers in the New York offices of WME” to shop the planned book. NFL Commissioner Will Not Force Players to Stand During Anthem
During a 20-minute press conference held to debrief what progress came of the meeting he hosted between NFL players and owners this week, league commissioner Roger Goodell shared that no changes will be made to the game’s operations manual. Ray Lewis III, son of former Baltimore Ravens star Ray Lewis, has been charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct. Two victims told authorities that Lewis III, a sophomore cornerback for the Coastal Carolina University football team, sexually assaulted them on Saturday, Jan. 23, at an apartment near campus, according to police records Lewis, 20, turned himself into the police on Friday, according to a WMBF News Report. His arrest warrant alleges knowledgeable sexual battery of an 18-year-old female who was incapacitated from the use of drugs and/or alcohol. Cam Newton rented an $11 million mansion back in March after the Carolina Panthers’ Super Bowl loss to the Denver Broncos.
