Denzel Washington Event Raises $17M Museum
When you have as much star power and influence as Denzel and Pauletta Washington and it’s put to good use, amazing things happen. While Barack Obama was giving his final speech at the White House Correspondents’ dinner Saturday night, the Washingtons were throwing a lavish party with some of Hollywood’s biggest names, all in support of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, which opens later this year. DJ Mustard Says He’ll Match Big Sean’s Donation to Flint, MI
Last week, Big Sean donated $10,000 to the water crisis in Flint, Michigan, after starting his #HealFlintKids fundraiser, and famed producer DJ Mustard announced he will match. The West Coast producer explained, “As a father of two kids, the tragedy in Flint, Michigan hit home for me. Shout out to Big Sean for starting this viral campaign. I hope my donation can encourage others to step up for an important cause.” Other stars who have donated to the cause include Wiz Khalifa, Meek Mill, and Diddy, who recently pledged to donate 1 million bottles of AQUAHydrate to Flint.
