DJ Kool Herc Sues HBO
HBO’s series Vinyl, which is about the music industry in the 1970’s, has been a modest hit, but don’t count DJ Kool Herc as a fan. The man credited with creating Hip-Hop in The Bronx is suing the cable network over his portrayal on the show. Herc believes a character who is blatantly supposed to be him was used without proper permission. Reports DNA Info New York: One of the characters in the series is named Mr. Campbell or “Herc,” and there is “no doubt” that he is supposed to portray the real DJ Kool Herc “and his contribution to the development of hip-hop music,” according to the lawsuit…

HBO Will Submit Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’ for Emmy Consideration
Like many people, we still haven’t recovered from Lemonade. Ever since h HBO special debuted on Saturday, the visual album is all anyone can talk about and now there’s more info to add to the discussion because HBO plans to submit the special for Emmy consideration. Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” Trailer For HBO
Pucker up, Beyhive!! Beyoncé dropped a cryptic teaser Saturday for “Lemonade,” a “world premiere event” airing 9 p.m. next Saturday on HBO. The 20-second clip, posted to the singer’s YouTube and social media accounts, has Beyoncé in tight braids and a brown fur coat ever so slowly lifting her head into view.
