Organized Noize was responsible for some of southern hip hop’s greatest music early on. They produced numerous hits for OutKast and as a part of the larger Dungeon Family collective, they still influence a lot of Southern rap to this day. The Art of Organized Noize is a forthcoming documentary all about the group consisting of Rico Wade, Ray Murray and Sleepy Brown and is slated for release on Netflix on March 22. Smithsonian Acquires Collection Of Classic Hip-Hop Photos
More than 400 classic photographs of hip-hop artists including Foxy Brown, Lil’ Kim, T.I., Black Sheep and N.W.A.’s Eazy-E have been acquired by the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the Smithsonian announced last week.
