It’s finally over. Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star Tommie Lee has had her fair share of run-ins with the law over the past couple of years, but at least she is able to put one ongoing case to rest. Judge Sentences Meek Mill to 2-4 Years Prison
A Philadelphia judge ruled that Meek Mill recently violated his probation after being arrested in March for misdemeanor assault and also in August for reckless driving and reckless endangerment. While both charges have been dropped, the judge ruled that the incidents violated Meek’s probation and he was sentenced to 2-4 years in prison. Z-Ro Arrested For Aggravated Assault
On Wednesday, Houston rapper Joseph McVey “Z-Ro” was arrested and charged with aggravated assault of a family member. Police arrested McVey after his ex-girlfriend, Brittany Bullock AKA Just Brittany, filed a complaint with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office about an incident she claims occurred in April near West Side Forest in the Katy area. Bullock backed up her claim with a 20-minute recording of the alleged assault. The Casper defense lawyers have not responded to the incident yet. Cheif Keef is back in trouble with the law in Sioux Falls, South Dakota following a show promoted by Kowabunga Music. Kodak Black Released from Jail
South Florida rap star Kodak Black is a free man after being released from the Broward County Jail. Black, whose real name is Dieuson Octave, was sentenced to 364 days in jail last month for violating house the terms of house arrest. As part of the sentence, Octave, 19, was ordered to complete an anger management/life skills course. Octave’s original 364-day sentence was then reduced to 180 days plus time-served. The original house arrest sentence stemmed from Octave’s 2016 conviction on robbery and kidnapping charges. Kevin Gates Back in Jail on Day He Was Supposed to Get Out
Today, rapper Kevin Gates completed his sentence for kicking a woman at a concert in 2015 and was scheduled to be released from jail. Mendeecees Harris is going to have to do all his time. The Love & Hip Hop star was denied his request to have his 8-year sentence for drug trafficking reduced. According to the Democrat & Chronicle, in early March, U.S. District Judge Frank Geraci Jr. denied Harris’ request to have his federal drug distribution sentence lessened by up to a third. Harris claims that he was actually a mule, rather than a proper drug dealer, and this was not considered when he was sentenced. Kodak Black to Remain in Jail
The Florida native’s scheduled March 10 court date concluded on an unresolved note, according to the Sun Sentinel. The rapper will attend a continuation of the hearing on March 20. The March 10 hearing was held to determine if there was enough evidence to consider Kodak a “danger” to Broward County residents. He was sent back to prison after a probation report revealed that he had violated the terms of his house arrest by attending a boxing match and failing to complete a mandatory anger management course. Brisco Pleads Guilty to Fake Bills & Fraud
South Florida rap artist Brisco pleaded guilty in federal court in Miami on Friday to charges of selling fake currency and committing identity theft and fraud. Brisco, whose real name is British Mitchell, is likely facing 4 ½ to 5 years in federal prison when he is sentenced in May, his lawyer said. Mitchell, 34, wore khaki jail scrubs and was handcuffed and shackled in court. In a somber voice, he replied “guilty” in response to each of the three charges.
