Kodak Black Released from Jail
South Florida rap star Kodak Black is a free man after being released from the Broward County Jail. Black, whose real name is Dieuson Octave, was sentenced to 364 days in jail last month for violating house the terms of house arrest. As part of the sentence, Octave, 19, was ordered to complete an anger management/life skills course. Octave’s original 364-day sentence was then reduced to 180 days plus time-served. The original house arrest sentence stemmed from Octave’s 2016 conviction on robbery and kidnapping charges. Kodak Black to Remain in Jail
The Florida native’s scheduled March 10 court date concluded on an unresolved note, according to the Sun Sentinel. The rapper will attend a continuation of the hearing on March 20. The March 10 hearing was held to determine if there was enough evidence to consider Kodak a “danger” to Broward County residents. He was sent back to prison after a probation report revealed that he had violated the terms of his house arrest by attending a boxing match and failing to complete a mandatory anger management course. Kodak Black Not Getting Release, Active Warrants Found
According to the Broward‘s Sherrif Department, Kodak Black won’t be getting out of jail as soon as we thought. A Broward Sheriff’s spokeswoman said during the process of releasing Kodak from the Broward Main Jail in Fort Lauderdale after his court hearing Tuesday it was discovered the rapper had two active arrest warrants.
