Lights, camera, faction. Actress Gabrielle Union fired off a lawsuit against BET, claiming the network tried to short-change her by stuffing more episodes into a single season of her show “Being Mary Jane” than she agreed upon, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The 42-year-old star contends producers for the hit series vowed that seasons would never run more than 13 episodes, but they’re now trying to jam 20 shows into Season 4. Cam Newton rented an $11 million mansion back in March after the Carolina Panthers’ Super Bowl loss to the Denver Broncos. He reportedly paid $123,000 to rent the mansion for 61 days and agreed there would be no parties, no smoking, and no more than eight guests. Newton allegedly didn’t adhere to the agreement. The housekeeper snitched, telling the rental company Newton had been throwing multiple parties and leaving cigarette ashes all over the house. Lawsuit Filed Against Fetty Wap
Rapper Fetty Wap is reportedly being sued by a Danish songwriter for beats used in “Trap Queen,” according to TMZ. Lazar Lakic claims in his lawsuit that he bought exclusive rights to “Hello” from producer Tony Fadd. Those beats then showed up as a sample in Fetty Wap’s April 2014 single from his self-titled debut album. The songwriter said in the suit that Fadd tried to buy back the beats in January 2015 but Lakic refused to do so, according to TMZ. Lakic says he never got a dime for “Trap Queen,” which spent 12 weeks on the Billboard Top 10 and was nominated for two Grammy awards in February.…

SWIZZ BEATZ SUED FOR $42 MILLION
Swizz Beatz is in legal trouble over an alleged leasing luxury car scheme in New York. According to the New York Post, Swizz Beatz was served with a $42 million civil racketeering lawsuit, which was filed in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Wednesday (Sept. 21). According to TMZ, Beatz formed a car leasing company years ago and used another company Metro-Gem to fund venture by paying for expensive whips ranging from Bentleys to Ferraris. Now, the company is suing Swizz Beatz for allegedly not living up to his word and taking money from them over a three year period. Judge Orders Birdman to Show Cash Money Receipts in Lil Wayne Lawsuit
Lil Wayne was granted a breakthrough in his legal battle over unpaid royalties this week. A judge has ordered Birdman to open up his books to provide a record of what a $100 million advance Cash Money received from Universal Music Group, has gone towards. Disputed in the case is $70 million of those $100 million dollars, which Wayne was supposed to get a split of for marketing and recording expenses, in addition to the royalties he claims to have never received. Nick Gordon Legally Responsible for Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Death
Bobbi Kristina Brown‘s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, has been found “legally responsible” for her death after failing to attend the wrongful death and lawsuit hearings. Friday [September 16], Fulton County Superior Court Judge T. Jackson Bedford said Gordon has “admitted through omission” allegations Brown’s estate have raised, according to Atlanta’s 11 Alive. In the $50 million lawsuit filed in 2015, Brown’s estate accused Gordon of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and transferring unauthorized money from his former girlfriend’s account to his own. Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa Sued Over Fence Collapse
Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa are being sued for egging on concert-goers just before a railing collapsed at one of their concerts. The two artists are being sued by 17 attendees, who claim they were injured when the fencing collapsed during “The High Road” tour in Camden, New Jersey, on Aug. 5, according to TMZ. Snoop and Wiz reportedly yelled “Everybody in the motherf——g grass, bring your a– down here,” just before the fencing broke, according to the lawsuit.
