NBA Fines LA Lakers $500,000 for Tampering
The LA Lakers have been fined by the NBA for violating the league’s anti-tampering rules when they were pursuing Paul George. The fine amounted to $500,000. Before George was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Lakers GM Rob Pelinka reportedly had inappropriate contact with George’s agent. Los Angeles to Host 2028 Summer Olympics
It was announced on Monday, July 31, that Los Angeles will be hosting the 2028 Olympic Summer Games. The West Coast city had been in a bidding war with Paris over who would host the 2028 games, and it was decided that France will host in 2024.
