Sony Reportedly Working on Ol’ Dirty Bastard Biopic
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony is currently working on an Ol’ Dirty Bastard biopic with RZA leading the production of the project. An ODB film has been rumored for quite some time with the prospects of the movie coming to fruition after the blockbuster N.W.A. biopic, Straight Outta Compton. RZA told Rolling Stone back in 2016, “Straight Outta Compton showed that with the proper team and marketing, many of us out here who grew up on this music would love to see the inside makings of those stories.” Sources close to the situation say that the studio is currently searching for a director. Beyoncé In Negotiations For “The Lion King”
It looks like Jon Favreau, the director of the live-action remake of The Lion King, may get his wish of Beyoncé voicing the future Queen of Pride Rock, Nala. According to the Beyhive Team, a social media page and site that receives “exclusive” news regarding the entertainer, Beyoncé is reportedly in final negotiations to voice the lioness, and is also signing on to manage the film’s soundtrack. “Disney has reportedly agreed to pay a whopping $25 million to secure Beyoncé’s involvement with the project,” the post says.
