Sony Reportedly Working on Ol’ Dirty Bastard Biopic
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony is currently working on an Ol’ Dirty Bastard biopic with RZA leading the production of the project. An ODB film has been rumored for quite some time with the prospects of the movie coming to fruition after the blockbuster N.W.A. biopic, Straight Outta Compton. Burt Reynolds Passed Away at 82
Famed actor Burt Reynolds died on Thursday (September 6) morning after reportedly having a heart attack in a Florida hospital. The 82-year-old was surrounded by family after being rushed to the hospital after going into cardiac arrest. Reynolds was best known for his roles in Smokey and the Bandit, Boogie Nights and Cannonball Run. He also won a Golden Globe for his role as porn director Jack Horner in Boogie Nights in 1997 and was also nominated for an Oscar for the same role that year. Reynolds is survived by his son. SOURCE

Beyoncé In Negotiations For “The Lion King”
It looks like Jon Favreau, the director of the live-action remake of The Lion King, may get his wish of Beyoncé voicing the future Queen of Pride Rock, Nala. According to the Beyhive Team, a social media page and site that receives “exclusive” news regarding the entertainer, Beyoncé is reportedly in final negotiations to voice the lioness, and is also signing on to manage the film’s soundtrack. “Disney has reportedly agreed to pay a whopping $25 million to secure Beyoncé’s involvement with the project,” the post says.
