Hip-hop pioneer Kidd Creole stabbed a homeless man to death on a Midtown street corner late Tuesday night, a police source said. Creole, whose real name is Nathaniel Glover, was arrested Wednesday and is expected to be charged in fatal knifing of a 55-year-old man at the corner of E. 44th St. and Third Ave. Glover, 57, was one of the members of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, a foundational hip-hop group formed in the South Bronx in the 1970s. NFL Will Smith’s Killer Found Guilty
Cardell Hayes, the man who shot and killed New Orleans Saints star, Will Smith, was found guilty of manslaughter. Hayes argued that he was acting in self-defense in the road rage incident; however, the claim was rejected by a 12-person jury after a weeklong trial, and now faces up to 20-40 years in prison. According to NFL.com, the 29-year-old former tow truck driver and semi-pro football player was also convicted of attempted manslaughter for wounding Smith’s wife, Racquel Smith and will be sentenced in February. Michael Jace Found Guilty of Murdering Wife
A Los Angeles jury convicted actor Michael Jace of murder Tuesday for the May 2014 shooting death of his wife. The 53-year old actor fatally shot his wife three times in their home. Prosecutors said April Jace was in the process of seeking a divorce at the time. They say Michael Jace deliberately loaded his gun and took aim at his 40-year old wife in front of their two young children. April was reportedly shot at such close range, death investigators found gunpowder where the bullets hit her legs. Former New Orleans Saints defensive end Will Smith was shot and killed late Saturday in New Orleans, according to the Times-Picayune. He was 34. New Orleans police said Smith and his wife were the victims of a double shooting about 11:29 p.m. Saturday in the city’s Lower Garden District, the Times-Picayune reports.
