New Tupac Albums Set to Drop
According to reports, the estate of the late Tupac Shakur has finally settled a lawsuit with Death Row Records that went on for five years. As a result, the estate is set to release some new work from the rapper. Court documents noted that Tupac’s estate filed documents saying that both sides have agreed on the matter this week. The suit was filed by Afeni Shakur—Tupac’s mother. She passed away during the process of this suit, but the case still pushed on. According to The Blast, there is enough material available to put out at least three albums from the late rapper. SOURCE

Jermaine Dupri Kicks Off So So Def Exhibit at the Grammy Museum
In 1993, producer Jermaine Dupri launched his So So Def record label to showcase southern hip-hop artists. In the quarter-century since then, the imprint has worked with a slew of big-name artists from the ’90s and 2000s, including Jagged Edge, Daz Dillinger, Da Brat, Bow Wow, Kriss Kross, and Anthony Hamilton. In celebration of the record label’s achievements and cultural influence, the Grammy Museum has launched a four-month exhibit dedicated entirely to So So Def. Billboard reports this is the first time a hip-hop label has received its own show at the Los Angeles facility. Trap music will be getting some props thanks to plans by rapper T.I. to curate a museum in Atlanta, Vibe is reporting. The pop-up museum is launching 15 years from the release of the artist’s Trap Muzik, which he said he created to draw attention to all the frustrations a Black man in America might have to juggle – from co-parenting to drug addiction, and from society’s negative view to struggling relationships. Sony Reportedly Working on Ol’ Dirty Bastard Biopic
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony is currently working on an Ol’ Dirty Bastard biopic with RZA leading the production of the project. An ODB film has been rumored for quite some time with the prospects of the movie coming to fruition after the blockbuster N.W.A. biopic, Straight Outta Compton. Ty Dolla $ign has been arrested by Atlanta police following a traffic stop. Cops pulled over Ty’s limo and asked him and his crew to hop out. Upon searching the vehicle, police found a large amount of weed. In the video of the arrest, released by TMZ, shows Ty and his crew waiting around as the van is searched and eventually shows Ty Dolla being taken off in handcuffs. Ty Dolla $ign has been charged with possession of marijuana, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia. Trailer for Netflix Documentary ‘Quincy’
Netflix is set to release the Rashida Jones directed Qunicy Jones documentary aptly titled, Quincy, on September 21. The official trailer of the documentary has been released featuring some of the biggest names in entertainment like WIll Smith, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, and Paul McCartney speaking to Quincy’s genius. Political dignitaries like Barack Obama and Nelson Mandela are also shown in the film sharing moments with Quincy. However, the trailer didn’t include Jones’ groundbreaking work with Michael Jackson. On Wednesday (Oct. 25) it was reported that New Zealand’s National Party would have to award the publishing company Eight Mile Style about $415K, after using a song similar to “Lose Yourself” in a 2014 advert. Now, one of Em’s rep has said that the Detroit rapper will be donating all of those proceeds to hurricane relief.
