DaTBoYZ3L explains how he came up with “Stressin” >> I was going through a heartbreak with my ex among other things. I heard a beat from Cook and felt the pain in the music. So I went in and wrote. If I hadn’t, I would’ve turned to drugs or worse, suicidal thoughts. I was in the studio one night with Iam2j and recorded my intro to “MOAK”. Afterwards, I chilled for a while and told 2j I wanted to record another song. That birthed the “Stressing” track. I just put all of what I’m going through in my music. Kevin Gates to be Released from Prison??
It looks like the legal weight which has been sitting on Kevin Gates is about to lift. According to TMZ, the New Orleans rapper will be getting out on parole next Wednesday, January 10. Gates, real name Kevin Jerome Gilyard, got in trouble back in 2015 after he allegedly kicked a fan who grabbed onto his shorts during a concert. The Lakeland, Florida police department filed a criminal complaint against Gates, charging him with simple battery. Rappers Nicki Minaj and Nas never officially discussed their relationship but it’s already over, according to TMZ. The couple reportedly broke up a few weeks ago after their relationship ran out of steam, sources close to the situation tell the gossip site. The Queens, N.Y natives have been dating since June 2017, but live in different cities, as Nicki currently resides in Miami, while Nas still lives in Los Angeles, and it was just too much.
