Ice Cube Gets a Star on Walk of Fame
Rapper, actor, and movie producer Ice Cube received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday (June 12) in front of the Musicians Institute on Hollywood Boulevard. Cube was joined by N.W.A. members Dr. Dre, DJ Yella, and MC Ren, who posted a photo on his Twitter with the caption, “Congratulations to @icecube getting his star in Hollywood. NWA Reunites At Coachella
On Saturday (April 23rd), all living members of the legendary rap group, N.W.A., reunited to perform for the first time in 16 years. Iconic rapper, actor, and producer, Ice Cube, brought MC Ren, DJ Yella, and most notably Dr. Dre onstage during his weekend set at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Dre joined his former bandmates on stage after they performed “Straight Outta Compton” and “F-ck The Police” to an exhilarated sold-out crowd. Lil Eazy-E, son of the late Eazy-E, recently provided TMZ with a tour of the place where the group N.W.A first got its start. Joined by Dr. Dre’s son, Curtis Young, Lil Eazy-E offered a tour of the Compton, California garage studio where those in N.W.A recorded their early records.
