    Peyton Manning Announces Retirement From Football

    Peyton Manning announced his retirement from football after 18 NFL seasons during his emotional press conference speech, March 7. The Super Bowl 50 champ took some time to himself, maintaining his composure in front of his family, friends, and former teammates before beginning his speech. “There is something about 18 years … 18 is a good number,” Manning said. “Today, I retire from pro football.” He said, “I revere football. I love the game,” Manning said. “You don’t have to wonder if I’ll miss the game. Absolutely.
