    [Video] Sourmouth – “Because I’m Black” (@sourmouth100)

    April 1, 2017 /

PDX artist Sourmouth issues his seventh video from “A Million Little Pieces” and it’s his most controversial yet. The self-directed “Because I’m Black” takes a sarcastically humorous approach to addressing racism and stereotypes in today’s culture. He speaks about how his skin color leads to women assuming he’s well endowed, constant police harassment and being considered a drug dealer all due to being black. Sourmouth also adds in elements of a social experiment. It consists of a white and black man, blindfolded and holding signs stating “I trust you, do you trust me?”. With the segment clips, viewers are quick to realize just how serious things have become for people of…

    [Video] Sourmouth – “I Hate It” | @sourmouth100

    January 16, 2017 /

ASCAP recording artist Sourmouth opens up in a harmonic cadence over the smooth, alternative sounds of Sinima Beats on the self-reflective, “I Hate It”. The song touches on his ever looming guilty conscience for never living up to his family’s expectations. The song is featured on his full length album, “A Million Little Pieces”. This offers a representation of the “normal” up-bringing the Portland emcee had, in contrast with the abnormal and reckless man he…

    [Single] @_itsNickB Ft @BrookfieldDeuce – “Moves”

    August 27, 2016 /

Portland artist Nick B wastes no time following up his debut single “Gassin On Em” with “Moves”, featuring Brookfield Duece. With an appropriate title, Nick B, Drae Slapz, Brookfield Duece and company having been working hard to make a name for themselves in the City of Roses and beyond. Nick easily swags over the beat, running through his daily checklist while Duece hits listeners with the code to his Oakland created hustle. Sounds like we’ll be hearing more and more from the Rare Vibe camp as this Portland area collective is just getting warmed up. Turn up your speakers and vibe out to “Moves” by Nick B and Brookfield Duece…
