Kevin Gates to be Released from Prison??
It looks like the legal weight which has been sitting on Kevin Gates is about to lift. According to TMZ, the New Orleans rapper will be getting out on parole next Wednesday, January 10. Gates, real name Kevin Jerome Gilyard, got in trouble back in 2015 after he allegedly kicked a fan who grabbed onto his shorts during a concert. The Lakeland, Florida police department filed a criminal complaint against Gates, charging him with simple battery. Kodak Black Released from Jail
South Florida rap star Kodak Black is a free man after being released from the Broward County Jail. Black, whose real name is Dieuson Octave, was sentenced to 364 days in jail last month for violating house the terms of house arrest. As part of the sentence, Octave, 19, was ordered to complete an anger management/life skills course. Octave’s original 364-day sentence was then reduced to 180 days plus time-served. The original house arrest sentence stemmed from Octave’s 2016 conviction on robbery and kidnapping charges. YFN Lucci Arrested at Gunpoint, 3 Weapons Found
YFN Lucci spent a bit of time in police custody on Saturday, April 1. In fact, the ATL rapper’s arrest is said to have involved drama, as he reportedly found himself facing the barrels of several police firearms before being detained. According to the police report, YFN ignored orders to pull over as police trailed his ride in downtown Atlanta. The rapper did eventually get around to complying, but did so under duress, with officers having trained their guns on him as he slowly exited the vehicle. After spending the first seven years of his career with the New York Giants, wide receiver Victor Cruz has been released. Cruz had a breakout season in 2011, where he caught 82 passes for 1,536 yards, and greatly contributed to the Giants’ Super Bowl XLVI win over the New England Patriots. Known for his trademark “salsa dance”, Cruz suffered a devastating injury in 2014 and has struggled to regain his Pro-Bowl level play, culminating in 39 catches for 586 and only one touchdown this season. Young Thug Arrested For Missing Court
Young Thug was arrested at Lenox Square Mall in Atlanta, Ga. on Thursday (Dec. 22). The JEFFREY creator was taken into custody for missing a court date. According to TMZ, officers were responding to a stolen vehicle report and were looking for a suspect in the mall. During their search for the suspect, one of the cops recognized Thugger walking through the mall and remembered he’d recently skipped a court date for excessive window tinting. We just got word that Pompano rapper Kodak Black has been released from Prison and is on house arrest. This is due to a plea deal Kodak Black and his lawyers agreed to which Kodak Black will spend 12 months on house arrest and 5 years probation. He was not adjudicated, which means he will not be a convicted felon and will be allowed to tour internationally. Kodak Black was arrested on multiple due to various warrants. Lil Wayne was released from an Omaha hospital on Tuesday after having two seizures that led to his plane making an emergency landing. TMZ reported that Weezy got out of the hospital and quickly left town. He plans on performing at all scheduled shows. The rapper suffered two seizures this week in flight and the pilot had to make 2 emergency landings for his safety.
