Peyton Manning announced his retirement from football after 18 NFL seasons during his emotional press conference speech, March 7. The Super Bowl 50 champ took some time to himself, maintaining his composure in front of his family, friends, and former teammates before beginning his speech. “There is something about 18 years … 18 is a good number,” Manning said. “Today, I retire from pro football.” He said, “I revere football. Marshawn Lynch Reportedly Retiring
Seattle Seahawks‘ running back, Marshawn Lynch, is reportedly retiring, and he may be walking away with $50 million. ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted, “Teammates still attempting to change his mind, but Seahawks’ RB Marshawn Lynch has told some close to him he plans to retire, per sources.” Although the exit may be bittersweet for fans, the Super Bowl champ will be walking away financially set. According to Forbes, Lynch has been living off of his endorsements deals for nine seasons, banking away $49.7 million from his NFL contracts.
